Welcome to Gil's Galavant. An outback Queensland backyard ultra located on a working cattle property of approximately 3000 acres. Come and enjoy an outback camping experience as you run 6.71km loops of the property. Run till you can’t!
Run every hour on the hour until you can’t.
Runners complete a 6.71km loop. Every hour the whistle will indicate that it’s time to return to the corral to start the next loop. The whistle warnings will occur at 3,2 and 1 minutes prior to the bell. All runners must start on the bell (no late starts). Runners continue on until they either time out and not return within the hour, they are not in the starting corral at the time of the starting bell or they turn back after they start another loop and decide that they do not want to continue on. This continues until only two runners remain. The “Assist” will be the second last person to decide that they can’t continue. The “LOS” (Last one Standing or Winner) will be the last person to complete a final loop within the hour. If no runner can complete one more loop within the hour then there is no winner. All other entrants are deemed “DNF” (Did not finish).
